Let's take a moment to honour the greatest Malaysian narrator ever - the late Yasmin Ahmad. I know this post is a little late in coming, but better late than never, right?
Anyway, I bet all of us remember the awesome ads she directed, like 'Tan Hong Ming Falls In Love' and all the heartwarming seasonal Petronas ads that I personally looked forward to, as they all represented Malaysia and Malaysians and showcased our cultural uniqueness. Under her directorship, movies like Sepet and Gubra tackled 'sensitive' issues with delicacy, humour and aplomb, showing us Malaysians that we aren't as touchy and prickly as was always assumed. Yasmin Ahmad opened our eyes and touched our hearts, and was the voice of Malaysia.

the day she left us.i was in tears. she reminds me for something that i take for granted.
I grieved like i had lost a family member. How many of us will be lucky to have that many people grief at our passing?
One needed
to have
touched many
to have
that many
be
touched
by one's passing.
