Here is our poster for the MIN's assignment. This poster is taken from the text " we could **** you Mr. Birch" by Kee Thuan Chye.
The play is basically set up to question the accuracy of some historical facts in Malaysian history and it is about the assassination of the first British resident in Perak, JWW Birch. The actors are both themselves as well as the characters they play.
We choose revision strategy of Repositioning and Foregrounding of Identities and Issues of Kuntum who has been marginalised by the Dato Sagor, sipuntum and JWW Birch.
Thus, we highlighted Kuntum as our main character, and to answer question from Dr Raihanah about what we feel upon this subject, we are proud to say that we do learn lot of things! To be creative and analytical as well as independent. Besides, we could work together as a team member to brainstorming ideas until this poster has been published.
